HEADS-UP....CHRISTmas minis

WOW....so hard to believe its almost that time again!!! CHRISTmas will be here before ya know it...which ofcourse means its time for MINIs:)

i will be announcing on WEDNESDAY of this week the exact times that are available for each location.....scheduling WILL NOT be open until then!!!! this is just a heads up post so you can get an idea of what all will be offered/cost/etc...just basic info!!!!

dates- OCT 13(makeup date is oct 20) or NOV 3 (makeup date is nov 11)

location- OCT-old rr depot in sboro(lots of color and texture) NOV-exact location tba(i am looking at a few spots that all look similar just gotta get with owners of land- think grassy fields, natural small pine trees)

cost- $150

details- 30 min session, up to 5 people, no outfit changes,10-12 poses, cd with all edited images/copyrights, 25 cards(metallic,ornate,2 sided) and a gift from me to you(will be announced once i recv them!!!! i promise you will LOVE it)

once i announce that scheduling has been opened....i will only take EMAIL responses/in the order recvd!!!! i am looking to have 10 sessions each date!!!!! once they are filled thats it for the year for sjphotography!!! $50 will be due to hold your spot and is due within 5 days-no payment means you have lost your spot NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!! the next email in line will recv your time slot!!!!!!!!!
i cant stress enough how firm i will be on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST MUST MUST pay to hold your spot within time alotted PERIOD:) thanks in advance for doing so:)

the time has arrived:)) for those of you who follow my FB fan page this is no surprise but im finally getting around to blogging and making it official:)))

sjphotography is now a super proud vendor for the super awesome poppy tree frames ..... and i couldnt be more excited!!!!!!!

to kick off this new venture- poppy tree frames has graciously provided me with a free frame for this give-a-way/contest!!!!!! before i share the pic, i will first give all the details for the contest( plz note this is not a fb contest and is in no way endorsed by fb!!!!!) here are the details.......read and follow carefully!!!!!!!

~as turkey day approaches~

here it is the night before Thanksgiving.....ive finally completed all CHRISTmas sessions and starting on card orders now-with only a few reg session clients to clear off the edit list:)) productive if i do say so myself!!!!!....however with the extreme busy~crazy~hectic  schedule i have yet to post a single thing i am thankful for this month on any of my social media pages.....badBADbad girl i know:// so lets start now....never too late in my book!!!!

i will spare you all from reading a months worth of things im thankful for in one blog post lol.....i will limit to the ones that are most recent for me, those that really touch my heart and make me think~work~keep moving~wake up everyday!!!!!

my son~ without him i can honestly say im not sure where i wld be at this point in my life....hes my world and teaches me daily to have patience, gives me love daily and wakes me up with a smile to melt anyones heart in an instant!!!!

my close fam/friends~ the ones who are ALWAYS there for me and for my son in good times, bad times, those that are questionable and ALL in between:))) thanks for not judging but supporting through and through in all situations fully!!!

my job/clients~ you all allow me to be creative, express my feelings, trust my judgement and push me to continue learning and growing in an ever growing and changing position(and thanks for your patience with me on my learning business 101-lol)

las but NOT least........GOD~ he always giving me strength when i think im at my lowest point, courage when i need it most, love even though i dont always remember to show him the same and forgiveness when i take for granted that all is well and i forget to pray to him for everything that i am thankful for....its great to know that no matter how forgetful, how much i sin or how imperfect i am that he loves me reguardless!!!!

its that time of year again- wow already?!?!?!?!- so here are the details:))


session is $175 total- $50 due to hold spot within a week of choosing timeslot!!!!! no exceptions!!!!!

MUST be on time to session-i have allowed for a small amount of time so that we dont feel rushed but being late may cause you to lose your spot-try to be 5 mins early PLZ!!!!!!!!!

~new pricelists/products~

i love new products- i now offer magnets(perfect for announcements, bday invites and soooooo much more)....and have finally put together a pricelist for the all too favorite float wraps :))))

taking me a bit longer to update with all the new info....my aopologies!!!! next on the list however is pricing and will be effective as of july 18!!!!!

session fee will remain the same $50.....cd fee is going up to $150-this is  a must considering orders have fallen drastically over the last year-i have recvd several emails asking why from my printing company and online ordering gallery too!!!! i understand to some degree but also know that i refuse to raise print prices(just cant make myself charge $20+ for a single 5x7 print-thats just bonkers!!!!!)-so in order to keep print prices as they are copyrights are increasing!!!!!!

if you have scheduled a session with me and paid session fee already you still pay the old cd price!!!! if you havent paid your session fee you have till monday july 18 to get it to me in order to lock in this price-otherwise it will be noted on your info sheet that you must pay new cd fee!!!!! plz contact me if youre unsure!!!!!

i will closely watch all sessions over the remainder of the year and determine what, if any price changes will happen after the first of the year also so there may be another price update starting jan of 2012!!!! i spend countless hours scheduling/editing/msging and deserve to be paid for my time-although i want to remain affordable for all-i also need to compensate myself and my family!!! im also hoping that this price increase will cut out those unruly clients that i have had who use me simply to have me alter my style to fit theirs and then never order after spending countless extra hours trying to please them!!!!!! i want to enjoy my work- have time to fully edit like i want-and have time to plan out the perfect session, not just wing it every single time and pray for it to turn out as i had hoped!!!!

stay tuned for an updated scheduling post super soon as well....im working on a full schedule that allows me to have time with my family and for myself as well as days designated for shooting, editing, ordering and shipping!!! right now i work 7days a week all day long- to keep from getting completely burnt out this must be handled asap!!! this will likely limit days available but i hope that you understand and trust that the pics wld be worth it!!!!!

~update part 1~

WOW....yes i know its been quite some time since my last post....business and life have been beyond busy!!!! alot of things/news/info to discuss- to make this a bit easier on the eyes (lol) i will post up several posts over the next several days to break it all down for you all!!!!!

first post---ALL ABOUT SURGERY/MY HEALTH!!!!!!!!!

i spent several months squeezing in sessions/overbooking weekends/shooting and editing till im in pain....all to prepare for neck surgery this month!!!! i went to my preop appt and had the updated xrays and mri to check the status of the discs.....6hrs and several hundred dollars later i meet with my surgeon to have hime look me in the eye and tell me that surgery at this point... with the vast change in the size alone of my discs in my neck...shld be put off!!!!!!! i wanted to cry something terribly when he told me this- all the stress, upset clients, and more for nothing!!!! i understand after his explination and am greatful that he doesnt just wanna cut on me but at the same time-well im sure you can sense the frustration!!!

the reason for the delay- my discs(all but two-there are only seven in your neck) are all bulging out....c7 is the worse of the bunch and its actually extruding out pressing on the nerve to my right arm causing severe pain, throbbing, numbness and more to my entire arm/hand all day!!!!!! my first mri had the drs ready to operate that day....i ofcourse put my family and business first and demanded trying physical therapy first....this helped with the pain but actually made everything else worse....dr told me to clear out my books and come back when i cld- he also mentioned that it was possible for the discs to shrink enough to let off of the nerve decreasing the pain and making it where i wldnt have to have surgery-however living with the pain for that long was extremely hard and there was no way to know how long that cld take...so i cleared out my books and prepared to be fixed...however the new mri showed a significant decrease in the size of all the discs....what does this mean?!?!?!?!?! well basically if i have surgery now on c7 to ease my arm pain- i wld have to have c5-6 fixed within less than a year which is very dangerous....so the verdict is now continue to tough it out and try a neck block to see if it gives me some relief from the nerve/arm pain!!!!

did i want surgery....absolutely not!!!!!!! do i enjoy being in pain everyday...absolutely not!!!!!!! so what is one to do really?!?!?!?!?! i love my surgeon and trust his judgment....he told me straight up that if it was his neck and body he wld try the block first and avoid surgery all together if at all possible!!! i trust him and his judgement and hope that i get some relief from this block.....really really hope it helps!!!!

so what does this all mean to you?!?!?!?! the time i marked off for recovery will be upgraded to light duty work....i will take a few weeks to catch up from the pre-surgery overload.....then i will post up dates available.....i will also take time to be with my family who has recd the short end of the stick during all the preperation....i placed my business first for a few months and they deserve to be put back in that number one spot-and stay there!!!!!!

last note for the day.......thanks to all the great clients i have- the ones who are completely understanding- not demanding!!!!!! you all make it where i still enjoy what i do:)))) thank you!!!!!! to those clients who still demand pic/edit changes....yell out of frustration at me for having to have surgery and recover or for placing my family first.....POO ON YOU!!!! harsh of me-yes but its beyond deserved!!!!! i aim to please in all i do but keep in mund i am human first and foremost....if you think for one minute that your pics are more important than my family or my own personal health youre sadly mistaken and have obviously chosen the wrong photog!!!!!! i have made it clear from the beginning that this is a hobby for me...a thing i enjoy to do....plz dont make it a drag!!! i have also made it beyond clear that my family comes first ALWAYS....i had to learn to put my health up there too this year and had several clients make me feel bad for having to do so...lil remarks-questioning my availability-questioning my recovery time and pain................thats just wrong plain and simple!!!!! i am quick to forgive but dont forget....im honestly hoping that this small break from working nonstop will help me to forget but no guarantees!!!!!

AGAIN....THANKS TO ALL THE GREAT CLIENTS THAT I HAVE......YOU ALL MAKE THIS A JOY!!!!!!
